The 1428 was produced in 1948 and 1949 and was the third and final model in the legendary Magic-Glo series. With its distinctive Art Deco design, colorful illumination, and impressive chrome details, this jukebox is a true eye-catcher and a remarkable collector’s piece.

The Magic of the “Magic-Glo”

One of the most remarkable features is the rotating color cylinder behind the grille. When operating, it creates a constantly changing and colorful lighting effect. Combined with the deep red and green plastic panels, this creates the unique appearance that gave the Rock-Ola its “Magic-Glo” name.

The combination of the light-colored wooden cabinet, colorful panels, and richly detailed chrome trim makes the 1428 a classic example of the extravagant American jukebox style of the late 1940s.
